• Remember the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were big.

This is one of my favorite quotes because it sums up why I love photography. I remember when I brought my first child home from the hospital, I wanted to stop time. I cried everyday for 4 days mourning the day before because he was growing and changing so fast. On the fifth day, I stopped crying and made time stand still with my camera. I cherish every photograph of his tiny feet and roly-poly thighs because I know that I will blink and one day his not-so-tiny feet will be walking him to college! That is why I appreciate this art form so much. A photograph stops time long enough to see the little miracles in front of us everyday. A photograph takes a fraction of a second and makes it last forever so it can be savored and revisited. I strive to not just get a great shot of your children, but images that also reflect who they are in that moment in time. I love what I do and I hope it shows in every part of my work.

There will never be a perfect time for family portraits. People are real, not perfect. We have bad hair days, we want to lose weight, and we are just so busy. Schedule a session anyway. You’ll be so glad you have these moments to treasure forever. Down the road, when your teenager is grabbing the car keys, you will pull out your album and marvel at how tiny his fingers were when he was a baby.

        Lego Birthday Party

I made Lego block shaped cakes and the candles were held up by 4 little Lego men (AKA MiniFigures to the die-hard Lego lovers). We had a Lego hunt where the kids hunted for Legos […]

        We are Family!

I love this picture of my family. I put it on our Christmas cards this past year along with some others taken that day. I love it because it really captures the personalities the way a perfectly posed shot could not. Barrett, my son who is standing, is happy, energetic, outgoing and definitely has a […]
